Resolving Blue Screen Error

Issue/Question

My computer displayed a black or blue screen error message.

Cause

Errors like this are difficult to troubleshoot because they can result from a variety of problems with any hardware or software on your computer, and in some cases they can only be reproduced under very specific or unusual circumstances. These errors may be caused by either hardware or software problems.

Resolution

  1. If you receive this error message once, try restarting the machine.
  2. If you continue to receive the error message please check in your computer to our TopperTech office. See related article Dropping Off Computer to be Serviced.
