Issue/Question

How do I remove the latest update to Internet Explorer?

Environment

  • Windows

Cause

Windows Update has installed an update for Internet Explorer.

Resolution

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type Programs and Features and hit enter.
  3. Click View installed updates.
  4. Locate the proper Internet Explorer Update under the Microsoft Windows section of the list and click on it.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. The machine will need to be restarted to complete the removal process.
