Receiving Service Connection Error

Issue/Question

Mediasite is not working and this message displayed:

Service Connection Error

Connection with the service has been lost.

Please either wait for the service to start again or try restarting it manually.

Environment

  • Windows

Resolution

  1. Ensure you meet the Mediasite viewing requirements.
  2. Click  Start.
  3. Type services.msc.
  4. Select Services.
  5. Locate MediaSite Desktop Recorder Service.
  6. Click Start the service.

MediaSite should then prompted to discard, continue, or finish and save the recording as is.
