SDM Not Connected to the Internet

Issue/Question

I receive the following message when launching the SDX to launch the SDM (Secure Download Manager) :

Error: Not connected to the Internet.  Please connect and try again.  TODO Provide proper texts.

Environment

  • macOS

Cause

The latest version of SDM has been installed and by default the SDX wants to open the older versionof SDM. 

Resolution

  1. Download the SDX file you have purchased from the WKU Software Center
  2. Navigate to the saved location of the SDX file. 
  3. Right click on SDX file.
  4. Select Open With and choose the newer version of SDM.
  5. The SDM should now open properly and download the software as needed.
