My computer is displaying a message stating the support for Windows 7 is nearing the end, what does this mean?
Environment
Cause
January 14, 2020, is the last day Microsoft will offer security updates and technical support for computers running Windows 7.
Microsoft will push notifications to Windows 7 systems beginning 3/27/2019 to alert users to update their computers. Over time, all WKU-owned computers running Windows 7 will need to upgrade or be replaced.
Resolution
To have your computer upgraded to a newer Operating System, please contact the ITS Service Desk or submit a service request.
