Missing Items After Service


My machine was just worked on by Desktop Support, but it's missing files or programs. How do I get these items back?


Missing Files

Desktop Support retains the physical hard drive for 30 days. Data is backed up and kept for 90 days. If any files or data is missing after a computer has been serviced, contact the ITS Service Desk within the 90-day window to retrieve the data from a previous hard drive.

Missing Programs

If programs are missing from the computer, they will need to be reinstalled on the new hard drive. For software purchased through the Software Center, see related article Reinstalling Software for instructions on acquiring software from the Software Center again. For other software, you will need to reinstall using the original install media that was purchased
