Error Displays When Launching App

Issue/Question

When I open an app, an error displays:

Failed to copy the file ... (error 3: The system cannot find the path specified.)

or

Cannot open file ... for writing: Permission denied

Environment

• AppStreaming
  • Blender
  • GeoDa

Cause

The apps listed above attempt to store customized settings in a location it cannot access. This does not impact the overall use of the apps and can be ignored.

Resolution

1. If prompted, click OK to acknowledge the error. Otherwise, clicking in the main window will dismiss the error.
2. You can now start using the app as normal.
