Why can't I open .odp files?
Environment
- Apache OpenOffice
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint)
Cause
Users receive an error message or problems viewing presentations because PowerPoint is unable to read the file.
Resolution
Ask the sender to submit a .ppt file instead of an .odp file. Instruct the sender to open the presentation in OpenOffice and save as Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP for the file type.
