Sharing an Office Computer


I share a computer with another person in my office. Will they be able to access my documents and email account?

Office computers are setup by Endpoint Support to allow anyone in the same department to use a computer by logging in with their individual NetIDs.

  • Programs (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) and files stored locally (e.g. on the Desktop and in My Documents) will be shared amongst the users.
  • Outlook is configured to access Exchange accounts with the Windows login credentials, so a person's individual email account is protected from another person accessing your messages.
  • For additional storage, it is recommended to host them on OneDrive.
