How do I change the display settings so I can extend my desktop over multiple monitors?

Method 1
Use keyboard shortcut
Windows Logo Key + P
.
While holding down the
Windows Logo Key
, tap the
P key
until the
Extend
option is highlighted.
Method 2
Right-click
any empty area of your desktop.
Select
Screen resolution
.
Click on the
Multiple displays drop-down list
, and then select
Extend these displays
.
