Incorrectly Printing on Both Sides (macOS)

Instructions for fixing an issue where a PDF from Adobe Acrobat should print single-sided and instead it prints double-sided.

Issue/Question

Even though I have my printer set to print single-sided, Adobe Acrobat/Reader prints on both sides.

Environment

• macOS
  • Adobe Acrobat XI

Resolution

The PDF can be printed properly through the Preview app.

Alternatively, Adobe Acrobat/Reader can print single-sided with a few extra steps:

1. Click File.
2. Click Print.
3. Click Printer....
4. Click Show Details.
5. In the detailed section, choose the Layout heading.
6. Change Two-Sided: to Off.
7. Click Print.
