How can I retake a locked Blackboard assessment?

Resolution

In order to retake a locked Blackboard Assessment, the student will need to contact their instructor directly to have the instructor unlock the exam.

 Note: The ITS Service Desk cannot unlock assessments or exams.

The ITS Service Desk makes these recommendations to prevent it from happening in the future:

1. Check the Compatible Browsers tab in Blackboard and class policy regarding resets.
2. Utilize a wired connection, if available.
3. Disable any toolbars or applications that may interfere.
4. Reset browser to default settings, if necessary.
5. Always log out and log back in before taking a test to prevent your session from timing out.
6. Contact the professor for inquiring about another attempt.
