Issue/Question

When I go to my direct URL on the web space (e.g. http://people.wku.edu/big.red001), my web page does not appear. Instead I receive the following message:

Forbidden - 403

We are sorry... you do not have access to this page

Environment

• WKU People web space

Cause

Directory listings are not allowed on the WKU People server. In order for a web page to appear when accessing your direct URL, an index file must be present.

Resolution

If a file titled index.htm, index.html, or index.php is uploaded to the root folder of your web space, that will be the file that appears when users access your direct URL.
