Configuring Speed Dialing (Cisco)

How do I configure speed dials on my Cisco phone?

Environment

Resolution

1. Login to https://cvp.wku.edu with your NetID and password.
2. Select the phone you're wanting to create speed dials on.
3. Click Abbreviated Dialing.
4. Click Speed Dial.
5. Type the name and phone number in the appropriate fields.
   • For on-campus phone numbers, enter the five digit extension (e.g., 57000).
   • For off-campus phone numbers, enter 9 followed by the full 10 digit number (e.g., 912707457000).
6. Click submit.
7. Your phone will reboot. Once completed, your new speed dial will appear.

 Note: You will have the ability to add up to 4 or 6 speed dials, depending on the model of phone you have. Abbreviated dialing is an option available if you are unable to add all speed dials required. Please see the Configuring Abbreviated Dialing article for more information.
