Can a Guest Account be added to my departmental Active Directory group or a Custom Share group?
Resolution
Guest Accounts cannot be added to Active Directory groups.
If a non-WKU person needs access to departmental computers and shared drives, we recommend contacting Human Resources to have this person added to Banner as an Active Non-Employee. Active Non-Employees are automatically issues NetID accounts that can be added to Active Directory groups. Additionally, email accounts may be created for these types of employees upon request.
