How do I require a test to be taken with the LockDown Browser?
Environment
- Blackboard Original
- Blackboard Ultra
Resolution
- Create a test as normal.
- Expand the course's Control Panel.
- Expand Course Tools.
- Click Respondus LockDown Browser.
- Click the menu next to the desired test.
- Select Modify Settings.
- Select Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam.
- Change any settings required, like enabling Respondus Monitor (proctoring) for the test.
- Click Save and Close.
- Create or navigate to test.
- Click by Assessment Settings.
- Under Assessment Security category, click Respondus LockDown Browser Dashboard.
- If prompted for authorization, click Allow.
- Click beside the desired test.
- Select Settings.
- Check Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam.
- (Optional) Expand Advanced Settings to enable additional options such as:
- Require LockDown Browser to view post-exam feedback and results
- Lock students into browser until exam completed
- Allow access to specific external web domains
- Enable calculator or Printing tools in the browser toolbar
- Click Save + Close button.
- Click Save on assessment page.
