How do I view a single Student Section in grade center when multiple Student Sections are enrolled in the same course site?

Resolution

To view individual Student Sections in the grade center, students must first be enrolled in a Blackboard group. Follow the instructions in the article titled Adding a Student to a Group to create a group and manually add students. Once the students have been added to groups, follow the steps below to create a Smart View for each group in the Grade Center.

  1. Open the Grade Center.
  2. Hover the cursor over  Manage, then click Smart Views.
  3. Click Create Smart View.
  4. Name the Smart View.
  5. Choose Course Group as the Smart View type.
  6. Enter these settings under the Select Criteria section:
    User Criteria: Group
    Condition: Equal To
    Value: [Choose the name of the student group you created one at a time.]
  7. Click Submit.
  8. To create a Smart View for the next group, click the  chevron next to the name of the group you just created, then click Copy.
  9. Click the  chevron next to the new group who's name begins Copy of and click Edit.
  10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 until a new Smart View has been created for each Student Section has been created.
  11. When finished, return to the Grade Center.
  12. Click the Filter button to show the Filter toolbar.
  13. Next to Current View: click on the Smart View (group) you wish to view.
