Environment
Resolution
- While editing an editable region, click Insert Component in the WYSIWYG editor toolbar.
- In the Choose Component box, click News Feed.
- Click Insert.
- Under Edit Component, enter information in the form fields.
- News ID - The unique ID associated with the News Add-on from which you are wanting to show articles. To find the ID associated with a News Addon, you can do so by logging into OU Add-Ons and selecting News.
- Articles - The number of news articles to display in the feed.
- Style - The look and feel of the feed. Some feed styles are too large for side columns, remember to select a style that fits your page layout from the styles. For a more in-depth description of the various feed style, and some examples visit our News Feed Component page.
- Category ID (Optional) - Specify a Category ID to only display articles from a category. To find the ID associated with a news category, you can do so by logging into OU Add-Ons, selecting News, and then clicking on the Manage Categories Icon next to the appropriate News Add-On listed.
- Featured Articles Only - Only display articles that are marked as Featured in OU Add-Ons.
- Open Links in New Tab - Open news feed article links in a new tab or window.
- When done, click Save.
- Save your page.
Note: When previewing the page you will see a placeholder with the available settings displayed. Since the news asset contains PHP code you can only see the final product after publishing.
