Linking Cells between Multiple Excel Documents

Issue/Question

How do I link a cell or group of cells between multiple Excel documents?

Resolution

1. In the source spreadsheet, select the cell or cells you want to link to and click the Copy button on the Home tab; alternatively press Ctrl+C, or right-click and select Copy.
2. Switch to the destination spreadsheet and highlight the cell or cells where you want the link. 
3. On the Home tab, click the down arrow below Paste and click Paste Link; alternatively you may also right-click and select the Paste Link from the Paste menu.
