Phone-Created Events Not Syncing (Samsung Devices)

Instructions for changing the default calendar on Samsung devices running Android OS.

Issue/Question

Events created on my phone do not show up in Outlook, but events created in Outlook show up on my phone.

Environment

• Samsung Devices
  • Android

Cause

The native calendar app on Samsung devices does not have a default calendar. Instead, events automatically set to the last used account. Updates to the phone may reset the preference to the My Calendar account stored only on the phone.

Resolution

1. Create an event on the phone.
2. Tap the Calendar heading.
3. Select the desired account (e.g. WKU).
4. Tap OK.
5. Save the event.
