Issue/Question
How do I archive my Blackboard course site?
Resolution
- From the My WKU Bb homepage select courses.
Note: You may need to select Past Courses from the Courses drop down menu centered at the top of the page if the course you need is not within the current semester.
- Under the Control Panel click on the Packages and Utilities.
- Click Export/Archive Course.
- Click Archive Course.
Note: If you would like Grade Center History, check the box that includes that information.
- Scroll down to File Attachments.
- Select the option for Copy links and include copies of the files outside of the course default directory.
- Click Submit.
- An email will be sent once the action is complete and is available for download from the Export/Archive Course menu.
- Click Courses in left menu pane.
- Navigate to course you would like to archive.
- Click More options for course content towards the right by the search.
- Select Export Course Package.
- The system will prompt you to include student activity data in your export.
- Select Yes to include student enrollment and data (assignment submissions, grades, attendance data, discussion posts).
- Select No to copy content only without student enrollment and data.
Note: Even if you include student enrollment and data, this information will not be added to another Ultra course if you import the content. Administrators can restore an archive package to retain all student enrollment and data.
- After the export or archive package is ready, a ZIP file will appear.
- Select the file name to download the package to your computer.
