Crashing When Trying to Print (Windows)

Issue/Question

Chrome crashes whenever I try to print.

Environment

Resolution

If Print Preview appears, continue below. Otherwise, skip this section.

  1. From the Print Preview screen, click Print using system dialog... .
  2. Select the desired printer and settings.
  3. Click Print.

If Chrome crashes when loading Print Preview, continue below.

  1. Close Chrome if open.
  2. Right-click an icon/shortcut used to launch Chrome.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. In the Target field, add the following, ensuring there is a space included before the text below:
     --disable-print-preview
  5. Click OK.
  6. Repeat for any other Chrome icons/shortcuts.
     Note: If Chrome is in the taskbar dock, the icon will need to be right-clicked, then Google Chrome will need to be right-clicked in order to get to the properties of the icon.
