ESRV.exe - Application Error Pop Up

Instructions for correcting the ESRV.exe - Application Error pop up screen on Windows computers.

Issue/Question

I have a popup that reads as the following and will not go away, how do I remove it?

Environment

• Windows 7+

Resolution

1. Click  (Start).
2. Type Control Panel.
3. Press Enter.
4. Change the View by: menu to Category.
5. Click Uninstall a Program under the Programs Category. 
6. Select Intel Driver Update Utility from the list. 
    Note: If you do not have this option, go to step 8.
7. Click Uninstall and wait for the process to complete.
8. Select the Intel Computing Improvement Program from the list. 
9. Click Uninstall and wait for the process to complete. 
10. Reboot your computer.
