Taking a Screenshot in Windows 11

How do I take a screenshot on Windows 11?

Environment

• Windows 11

Resolution

Shortcut

1. Press  + Shift + S on your keyboard. 
2. The screen will darken. Click and drag your mouse to select the area you want to screenshot.
3. Screenshots are automatically saved at C:\Users\[Your Username]\Pictures\Screenshots.

Snipping Tool

1. Click the Windows  button in the lower left corner.
2. Type Snipping Tool. 
3. Press Enter. 
4. Click New.
5. Click and drag the Plus Cursor across the area needing to capture.
6. Release the mouse button.
7. Click the Save  Icon.

Paint

1. Press Alt+PrtScn.
2. Open Paint through the Windows  button in the lower left corner.
3. Press Ctrl+V.
4. Click the Save  Icon.
