Automatically Save Files in Same Location (Google Chrome)

Instructions for disabling Google Chrome asking to save each file before downloading and setting a preferred download location.

Issue/Question

Google Chrome asks me to select a download location for every file that I download. How do I have Google Chrome automatically download my files to the same location?

Environment

• Google Chrome

Cause

The option to ask where to save each file before downloading has been enabled. 

Resolution

1. Click  menu button in top corner. 
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Downloads. 
4. Toggle option Ask where to save each file before downloading to off  position. 
5. Click Change to set your preferred download location.
   Note: By default, Google Chrome will save to your downloads folder.
