Creating A Safari URL Desktop Shortcut

Issue/Question

How can I create a web link on my desktop from Safari?

Environment

• macOS

Resolution

1. Navigate to the web page you would like to create a link for. 
2. To the left of the web address there will be an icon for either the site's branding or a  globe icon.
3. Click and drag the site's branding icon or globe icon and drop it on your desktop. 
4. Release to create a shortcut.
