How do I edit permissions for Zoom Desktop Client for macOS?

Environment

  • Zoom
  • macOS

Resolution

  1. Make sure the Zoom application is closed.
  2. Click the Apple menu at the top left corner of your screen.
  3. Click System Settings.
  4. Click Privacy & Security.
  5. Scroll to and select the permission that you need to update: Camera, Microphone, Screen RecordingFiles and Folders, or Accessibility.
  6. Toggle on access for zoom.us and/or Zoom Rooms.
  7. If prompted, enter your Mac username and password to make changes.
  8. A window will appear prompting you to restart Zoom or the Zoom Rooms application.
  9. If you need to allow other permissions, click Later. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for any additional permissions you need to enable,
  10. Reopen Zoom and you should now have full access.

Note: WKU-owned computers will require using Privileges app for administrator privileges to make changes.
