Sending Mail with Mail Merge from Multiple Accounts

Issue/Question

I have multiple accounts in Outlook. How do I use the Mail Merge feature with a specific account?

Environment

  • Outlook 2019

Cause

Mail Merge will only utilize the default account.

Resolution

  1. If it is open, close Outlook.
  2. Click the Windows  button.
     Note: On Windows 10 you may also right-click the Start button.
  3. Select Control Panel.
  4. At the top right, ensure View by: is set to Large icons or Small Icons.
  5. Select Mail.
  6. Select Accounts
  7. Select the account that you wish to use with Mail Merge
  8. Click the option to set this account as default along the ribbon bar. 
  9. Close the window and reopen Outlook to use Mail Merge.
