Encountering the Navlibx Error

Issue/Question

The following error keeps popping up on my computer: 

Navlibx will damage your computer.

Environment

• macOS

Cause

Updating macOS causes a conflict with previously existing Antivirus Software.

Resolution

1. Navigate to Symantec's Removal Tool knowledge article.
2. Download the file ending in RemoveSymantecMacFiles.zip.
3. If the file does not extract automatically, double-click it to make it unzip.
4. Open the RemoveSymantecMacFiles folder.
5. Right-click RemoveSymantecMacFiles.command and choose Open.
6. A Terminal window will open.
7. Enter your account password and press Return.
   Note: You may not see characters show up as you enter your password. This is normal.
8. When prompted, press 1 to remove all Symantec files.
9. Once complete, the window will prompt to restart the computer. Save any files you have open, then press y in the window to restart.
