Imaging in Progress

Instructions on what to do if a message is on a computer that says that imaging is in progress.

Issue/Question

There is a piece of paper taped to a monitor in a lab or classroom stating that it is being imaged. What does this mean?

Environment

• Lab or Classroom

Cause

The computer is being re-imaged. This means that the computer is in the process of being reset to a default setting for the particular lab or classroom, and cannot be used while this is in progress.

Resolution

If possible, use a different machine until a WKU employee removes the sign from the computer.
