Resetting Fonts in MacOS

Why is text appearing as a random mix of letters?

Environment

• MacOS

Resolution

1. Click Spotlight and search Font Book.
2. Open Font Book from search results.
3. Click Font Book at top left.
4. Click Settings.
5. Click Advanced .
6. Click Reset Fonts.
7. Click Proceed.
8. Enter the device password or touch ID.
9. Reopen affected applications.
