Deleting Extra Pages in Word (Windows)

Issue/Question

I cannot delete or type on pages in a Word document.

Environment

Cause

There are section or page breaks in the Word document which can add extra pages and not allow typing after the section break.

Resolution

  1. In the Word Document, click Home in top ribbon.
  2. Click on paragraph ¶ icon to see your section/page breaks.
    1. If your blank page is in the middle of your document, select page break
    2. If your blank page is at the end of your document, place your cursor directly before the section break.
  3. Press Delete
