What Is Viva Engage?
Microsoft Viva Engage allows WKU employees to connect with each other through communities, conversations, and knowledge sharing. Think of it as a social network for WKU employees accessible via website or directly within Microsoft Teams. This software was previously known as Yammer.
WKU employees can use Viva Engage to interact with other employees to discuss various topics, get assistance or advice from each other, and otherwise engage with one another in a single unified platform. Users can interact with existing community topics or create their own. Communities created by individual employees have the "_UserManaged" tag appended to the name. There is not a fee to utilize this application.
Accessing Viva Engage
- Open preferred web browser (ex., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
- Browse to https://engage.cloud.microsoft/main/feed .
Note: You may be prompted to log in using your WKU Account credentials.
- Existing communities listed under the Communities heading along left side.
- Launch Microsoft Teams.
- Click Apps along left side.
- In Apps Search bar, search for Viva Engage (will say Microsoft Corporation beneath title).
- Click Open.
- Right click the Viva Engage icon on left side.
- Click Pin.
- Existing communities listed under the Communities heading along left side.
