Issue/Question

How do I add test questions from a question bank (formerly known as question pool) in Blackboard Ultra?

Environment

  • Blackboard Ultra

Resolution

In Blackboard Ultra, question bank refers to what was called a question pool in original Blackboard.  In Blackboard Ultra, question pool now refers to what was called a random block or question set in original Blackboard.
  1. Open Blackboard Ultra course.
  2. Within course content, find test to which you wish to add questions, click test name.
Note: You may also click  to right of test, choose Edit.
  3. Click + where you wish to add questions.
  4. Choose Add question pool.
  5. All existing question banks within course will appear. Customize which questions appear using Filter Criteria column to left.
  6. Check box next to questions to add, click Add Questions at bottom right.
  7. Specify number of questions to display from pool and point values for each, click Save.

Your bank questions have now been added to the test.
