Issue/Question

What do I do when I get emailed spam or a phishing scam?

Resolution

 Note: If you have responded to a phishing email with any of your information (such as username, password, or otherwise), follow these instructions.

Outlook 365 on PC or Mac

  1. Click the message.
  2. Click the Home tab, then under the Protection section, click Report Message dropdown.
  3. Click Junk (if message is spam) or Phishing (if message is phishing scam).

Outlook via Web Browser

  1. Click the message.
  2. Click More Actions (...).
  3. Click Report Message.
  4. Click Junk (if message is spam) or Phishing (if message is phishing scam).

Outlook Mobile App

  1. Open the message.
  2. Tap ...
  3. Tap Report Junk.
  4. Tap Junk (if message is spam) or Phishing (if message is phishing scam).
