Why can't my Mac computer play a particular video format?
Environment
Cause
macOS does not recognize some file extensions and video containers.
Resolution
- Navigate to https://www.videolan.org/vlc/.
- Click Download VLC.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Drag the VLC application to the Applications folder.
