Receiving Error #2072 (Windows)

Issue/Question

When I open SPSS I receive this error:

Error # 2072
There was an unanticipated problem with the license for this product.
Execution of this command stops.
Specific symptom number: 4

Cause

The script which installs SPSS didn't set the spssprod.inf file to the correct value during installation.

Resolution

1. Make certain that SPSS is closed.
2. Go to C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\24\.
3. Right-click over spssprod.inf and select Open With.
4. Open the file with Notepad.
5. Edit the DaemonHost line to look exactly like: DaemonHost=spss-lic.wku.edu
6. Save the file.
7. Open SPSS.
