Clearing Saved Usernames and Passwords

Issue/Question

How do I clear a saved username and password combination in Firefox?

Cause

Firefox has saved the username (and possibly password) for easier access to the web site.

Resolution

Method 1

When the suggested usernames are appearing:

1. Highlight the username that needs to be deleted with the mouse cursor.
2. Press the Delete key (or Shift + Delete on Apple computers) in order to remove the entry along with its password.

Method 2

1. Select the Open Menu button (3 stacked rectangles icon).
2. Click Options.
3. Select the Security tab.
4. Click on Saved Passwords....
5. Under the Site column, select the website you are trying to remove the password for.
6. Click the Remove button.
7. Click the Close button.
