Forcing Students to Include Instructor On Blackboard Emails

Is it possible to prevent students from sending bulk emails through Blackboard that do not include the instructor?

Resolution

Instructors may remove the option to email groups that do not include the instructor.

  1. Log into Blackboard, and open the course you would like to restrict.
  2. From the Control Panel, expand Customization.
  3. Click on Tool Availability.
  4. Click the  chevron next to Email, and click Email Settings.
  5. Uncheck the lists that you do not want students to have access to. To ensure the instructor receives a copy of all email messages, leave only All Users and All Instructor Users checked.
  6. Click Submit.
