Issue/Question
I have created a Word document from a template and the template is showing on two or more pages. When I make an edit on one page, it automatically changes the second page as well.
Environment
Cause
The template has been enlarged slightly from it's initial dimensions. When the margins of the template exceed the margins of the page layout, Word will clone the template onto a second page, making all edits clone also.
Resolution
- On the first page of the document that includes the template, locate the square box in the bottom right hand corner of the page preview.
- Click and drag the square box to reduce the size of the template to fit within the margins of the page layout the template exists within.
