How do I set up my Faculty/Staff Exchange email account in Outlook 2019?

Resolution

WKU's Windows image is designed to use log in information based on the NetID and password used to access the machine to set up Outlook the first time that it is used.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Outlook will search for and pull your name and email address automatically.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Select Exchange.
  5. Enter your NetID and/or NetID password.
    Note: You may be prompted multiple times to enter your credentials throughout the setup process. This is normal.
  6. If desired, click to enable Remember my credentials.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Once Outlook configures your account, click to disable Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Outlook will connect to your account and begin syncing your mailbox. It may take several minutes until all of your data is available.
  11. The bottom-right corner of the Outlook window will display the sync status, starting with the Inbox. When it states This folder is up to date, Outlook will be ready for use.
