How do I change the settings for an external display?

Resolution

  1. Connect the external display (extra monitor, projector, etc.).
  2. Click  (Apple menu).
  3. Select System Settings... .
  4. Click  Displays.
  5. Select the appropriate tab to complete the action you wish, such as changing the arrangement or changing the resolution.
