How do I enable Closed-Captioning for Zoom Cloud Recordings?

Environment

  • Zoom

Resolution

  1. Sign into the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Settings.
  3. Click the Recording tab.
  4. Under Advanced cloud recording settings,​​​​ verify that Audio Transcript is enabled.
  5. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it.
  6. Log out of your Zoom desktop client, and log back in using SSO for the changes to take effect.

You can now record meetings to the Zoom cloud with closed-captioning. Closed captioning is not available for local recording. All WKU faculty and staff are able to record to the Zoom cloud.
