Enabling and Using Closed-Captioning for Zoom Cloud Recording

Issue/Question

How do I enable Closed-Captioning for Zoom Cloud Recordings?

Environment

  • Zoom

Resolution

  1. Sign into the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Settings.
  3. Click Recording tab.
  4. Under Advanced cloud recording settings,​​​​ verify that Create Audio Transcript is enabled.
  5. Sign out of Zoom Workplace and sign back in for changes to take affect.
  6. Start a meeting or webinar. 
  7. Click Record button and choose Record to the Cloud.
  8. After meeting ends, you will receive an email that lets you know your cloud recording is available. A short time later, you also receive a separate email letting you know that the audio transcript for the recording is available. These emails include links to view your recordings and transcript.
