Resolution

This process should not be used for a shared mailbox account. Please see this article to add a shared mailbox account.
  1. Open Outlook
  2. From the Outlook menu, select Preferences... .
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click the  in the bottom left corner. 
  5. Select New Account... .
  6. Complete the information and steps that pop up in order to connect your account.
