How do I print Microsoft 365 or PDF documents from a web-based resource (ex., web page) in color in a Student Technology Center?
Environment
- Windows Machines within Student Technology Centers
Resolution
- Save PDF document from a web browser to your device.
Note: Take note where you save your file; files attempt to save to Downloads folder by default.
- Open the PDF you just saved by double-clicking file within File Explorer.
- Your file should open in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Click Menu.
- Select Print.
- Click Properties.
- Under Basic tab, click Color Mode drop-down menu.
- Select Color.
- Click OK.
- Click Print button in bottom-right.
- Save Microsoft 365 document from a web browser to your device.

- Open the Microsoft 365 document you just saved by double-clicking file within File Explorer.
- Your document should open within the full version of the appropriate Microsoft 365 application (ex., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Click File.
- Select Print in left pane.
- Click Printer Properties.
- Under Basic tab, click Color Mode drop-down menu.
- Select Color.
- Click OK.
- Click Print.
- Open your document within Microsoft 365 for Web.
- Click File.
- Select Info in left pane.
- Click Open in Desktop App.
- A pop-up prompt will appear. Click Open Word, Open Excel, or Open PowerPoint, depending on file type.
- Your document should open within the full version of the appropriate Microsoft 365 application (ex., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Click File.
- Select Print in left pane.
- Click Printer Properties.
- Under Basic tab, click Color Mode drop-down menu.
- Select Color.
- Click OK.
- Click Print.
