Printing to Student Technology Center Printers

Issue/Question

How do I print at a Student Technology Center (STC) printer?

Resolution

Only current faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use printers in a Student Technology Center. Alumni and retirees are not eligible to use printing services from Student Technology Centers.
Current semester lab locations and hours can be found at https://wku.edu/its/labs/locations-hours/.
  1. Submit a print job through any computer within the Student Technology Centers.
Note: You may submit print jobs from personally-owned devices as well. Please see the Printing to a Student Technology Center (STC) Printer from Personal Device knowledge base article for more information on how to submit print jobs through a personally-owned device
  2. Walk up to a Ricoh printer. On the LCD control panel, authenticate by entering in NetID credentials or by swiping your WKU ID card. If authentication is successful, your name will appear in the upper right corner.
  3. Once authenticated, you will see the number of pending print jobs. You may either print all jobs at once by pressing the green PRINT ALL button or you can print jobs individually.
  4. To print jobs individually, please press the white and green PRINT RELEASE button. Your individual print jobs will show up on the LCD screen.
  5. Select the print job you would like to print by pressing on the print job.
Note: The default printing option is set to greyscale and duplex.
  6. After selecting the print job, page and cost information will appear in the top-left corner of the LCD control panel.
  7. Press the PRINT button on the lower right corner in order to print.
Note: If you wish to delete your jobs, select the jobs you wish to delete and press the black trash can icon  in the lower right corner.
  8. After printing your jobs, please make sure to press the green LOGOUT button in the top right corner
Note: Failure to log out of the printer could leave your account compromised. Other clients could make copies and scans on your credentials if you do not log out of the printer promptly after usage.
