Logging in to a WKU-Owned Computer Using a WKU Guest Account

Instructions for logging in with WKU guest accounts on WKU-owned computers, and connecting to WKU wireless networks after initial wired activation.

How do I sign in to a WKU-owned computer using a WKU guest account?

Environment

  • Windows
  • macOS

Resolution

Guest account activation takes approximately 15 minutes after account creation.
  1. Connect computer to a wired Ethernet connection on campus.
  2. Type guest account username followed by @ad.wku.edu (example: guest.guest@ad.wku.edu).
  3. Type password associated with guest account.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. You may stay connected to ethernet, or connect to wireless internet.

To Connect to Wireless Internet:

  1. After successful sign-in on computer, click  network icon in task bar.
  2. Select WKU-Wireless from list of available networks.
  3. Type guest account username without @ad.wku.edu (example: guest.guest).
  4. Type password associated with guest account.
  5. Click Connect to join WKU-Wireless network.
  6. Continue using WKU-Wireless or connect to WKU-Secure using the same guest account.
