Body

Issue/Question

How can I merge my student sections into a single Blackboard course?

Starting in the Spring 2022 semester student sections must be cross-listed with the Office of The Registrar at WKU in order to enroll more than one student section into the same Blackboard Course Site. This approval is done at the sole discretion of the Office of The Registrar.

Resolution

  1. Log into Blackboard.
  2. Select the My WKU Bb tab.
  3. Select the ITS: Faculty Tools tab and log in.
  4. Navigate to Students.
  5. Select Add Student Accounts.
  6. Select the appropriate term.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. Find the course you wish to add students to and click Add Students.
  9. Select the check box for the section(s) you wish to add to the Blackboard Course Site.
  10. Click Submit.
Note: If your courses have already been cross-listed with the Office of the Registrar you will be able to select multiple sections to enroll into the single Blackboard Course Site. If the sections have not yet been cross-listed with the Office of the Registrar you will need to complete the form that is linked on the Add Student Sections page titled FERPA and Merged Blackboard Courses. Cross-listing is completed and approved by the sole discretion of the Office of the Registrar.
  11. At the next Blackboard update, all student accounts will be added accordingly. Blackboard update times can be found here.
