Logging into Cisco Secure Client VPN Using a USB Key Fob

How do I log in to Cisco Secure Client VPN using my assigned USB key fob?

Environment

  • Cisco Secure Client VPN

Cause

The Cisco Secure Client VPN "second password" is generated by USB key fob and Duo Mobile is not used.

Resolution

  1. Plug in the USB fob.
  2. Open the Cisco Secure Client app.
  3. In the box type: wkuvpn.wku.edu
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Fill in this information in the corresponding fields:
    • Username: Your NetID
    • Password: Your NetID password
    • Second Password: Click in the text field (to place the cursor) and physically touch the the USB key fob while it is still plugged in. This will input a string of characters to use as the Second Password.
  6. Click Connect.
  7. You should now be connected to the Cisco VPN.
